Dr. Herrin ( Retired )
After 19 years in practice, Dr. Ashley Herrin retired and moved to the South West to pursue her passions in the Spring of 2026. She made sure to thoroughly train Dr. Daylin Shelley in her methods in order to continue care for her patients.
Ashley Herrin, D.O.M., A.P., M.S. is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture Physician, Herbologist, Homeopathy Practitioner and a certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist. She is licensed by the State of Florida and is nationally certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification and Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.) She has been an invited speaker at NOVA University and Florida Atlantic University (FAU) to teach physicians and wellness professionals about Oriental Medicine.
Born in the United States, Dr. Herrin’s modeling career took her to Asia to live for eight years. While living in Japan, she witnessed the vitality of the older generations which ignited a passion for acupuncture and herbal medicine. Dr. Herrin’s personal story is that she was treated with acupuncture and herbal medicine, inspiring her to study Oriental Medicine to help others heal naturally. Her passion today is to educate her patients so that they can live long and healthy lives, teaching patients that it all begins with the lifestyle choices that one makes today.
Dr. Herrin fulfilled two post graduate studies. One is a certified Toyohari Meridian Therapy practitioner. The Toyohari Japanese style of acupuncture is a gentle, effective non-insertion form of acupuncture making this style a great option for needle-sensitive patients and children. The other is a Taiwanese style of acupuncture called the Balance Method. This style does not insert needles where the patient feels pain but in distal areas.
Dr. Herrin has helped hundreds of patients with various health conditions, ranging from chronic pain and digestive complaints to allergies and infertility. Dr. Herrin is also trained in counseling to uncover any beliefs that may be contributing to health issues; and to support new thought patterns to aid in the healing process.
As a strong advocate for the advancement and procurement of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in mainstream healthcare, Dr. Herrin has given presentations in local universities and hospitals including:
